Myles Goddard (Ojibwe)

Vice President of Education

Myles has been a member of Midwest SOARRING for many years, and currently serves on the board as vice president of education.

Myles is an educator, lecturer, and author, and frequently lectures and presents programs on Native American culture throughout the Midwest.

Myles taught Social Studies and served as Department Chair at Holy Cross High School from 1963-2002. He was also a faculty member at Triton Junior College from 1985-1989 and at the College of DuPage from 1993 to the present, teaching history classes in the Native Studies Program. He has published an analysis of the paleo-occupation of the Shepherd Site in Marshall County, Illinois, and is the Illinois Convenor, Bard and Historian for the Clan Donald in the Midwest and Great Plains. He is also an accomplished musician and storyteller, often performing at Pow Wows and other gatherings.
